This Privacy Policy describes how Recoup (“Recoup,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information you provide when you create an account, submit a case, or contact us.

Information we collect

When you use Recoup, we collect:

• Account information: name, email, phone, country, address, and contact preference.
• Case information: the project you're reporting, investment and wallet details, transaction hashes, your account of events, evidence files you upload, and any suspected parties you name.
• Contribution information: the tier and coin you select, and the transaction hash you submit to confirm a litigation-fund contribution. We do not process card payments and never see your wallet's private keys.
• Usage data: standard technical logs (IP address, browser, timestamps) generated by using the site.

How we use it

• To evaluate and build your case, including sharing it with affiliated counsel.
• To compute the aggregate, non-identifying figures shown on the public trust dashboard.
• To contact you about your case, your contribution, or in response to a message you send.
• To detect fraud and secure your account.

What we never do

• We never sell your personal information.
• We never publish your individual case details publicly. Only aggregate, non-identifying figures appear on the trust dashboard.

Who we share it with

Case information is shared with the independent legal counsel affiliated with your claim, and with service providers who help us operate the platform (hosting, file storage, email) under confidentiality obligations. We disclose information when required by law or a valid legal process.

Data retention

We retain case information for as long as your claim is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal and recordkeeping obligations. You can request deletion of your account by contacting us, subject to information we're required to retain.

You can access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information at any time from your dashboard or by contacting privacy@chainrecourse.com.
